Food delivery apps have crashed back to earth. The second-fastest-growing category during the pandemic, food delivery, contracted its user base in 2022. It will return to solid growth in 2023 but at a rate far below grocery’s. Retail and banking apps had a pandemic bump but avoided the hangover.
