Plans to advance a common currency between Argentina and Brazil will come to a halt. Argentina’s former economy minister, Sergio Massa, proposed the creation of a common currency—the “Sur”—with Brazil to strengthen trade between both nations, with plans to eventually invite other Latin American countries to adopt it.
